Tweetify on desktop and mobile
01 Overview
Tweetify is an AI tweet rewriter for people who post on X. A visitor pastes a rough draft, picks the kind of post and one or two rewrite modes, and gets three versions back. Each version is tuned for a different goal, such as replies, reposts or profile visits, with a short note on when to use it.
Most generic rewriters produce one answer that sounds like a machine wrote it and ignores how X works. Tweetify was built around X specifically, with separate rules for single tweets, threads, replies, quote tweets and promotional tweets. We built the rewrite engine, the live draft signal, accounts and history, Stripe billing and the marketing site.
02 The challenge
The product had to give people real choice on every rewrite while keeping a free tier affordable to run.
One tool had to handle five kinds of post, from a single tweet to a full thread, and each follows different rules on X.
A single rewrite is a gamble, so users needed several options with a clear reason to pick one.
The output had to sound human, not like obvious AI text.
Visitors had to be able to try the rewriter without signing up.
A free tier had to stay within the cost of each model call.
03 What we built
We made the home page the product: a visitor can paste a draft and get rewrites right away, with the logic running in Next.js server actions.
An OpenAI chat model returns three versions, each with its own purpose and a plain recommendation. Users see which one to post for replies, retweets or profile visits instead of guessing.
Users pick a single tweet, thread, reply, quote tweet or promotional tweet. Each type adds its own rule to the prompt, so a thread reads like a thread and a reply reads like a reply.
Users can combine one or two of five modes, such as Hot Take or Thread Builder. This lets them steer the tone and structure without writing a prompt themselves.
As the user types, a draft signal reads the text using pattern rules, with no model call. Users get quick feedback on their draft at no extra cost per keystroke.
Anyone can try three rewrites a day with no signup. A server action screens the input and applies the limit before any model call is made.
Pro at $9 a month and Teams at $29 a month remove the daily cap. Checkout and the billing portal run on Stripe, and a webhook keeps the stored plan in step with the subscription.
Users sign in with email or Google. Signed-in users keep their rewrites and can read them back from a recents list.
Each mode has its own page explaining what it does on X, and a four-step guide walks a new visitor from rough draft to posted tweet.
04 The results
Tweetify is a working first phase of a paid writing tool for X.
