What Lokarion Wellness needed to solve

The company wanted many services under one roof, personal guidance a small team could offer to every member, and health data handled with care.

   Booking, content, payments, member records and AI help had to live in one platform instead of separate tools.

   Members expect advice built on their own health, and a small care team had to be able to offer that at scale.

   Health data had to be kept in the UK with a clear audit trail.

   The scope was large, so it had to be split into defined modules and delivered in order, under one premium brand across web and phone.

03 / What we built

How we built Lokarion Wellness

The platform uses Next.js for the web and React Native with Expo for the phone app, both talking to a NestJS API. TypeScript runs through all three, so models and rules match on every screen.

  Today screen

  Each member opens to a longevity score with its trend, today's plan with items such as a Zone 2 walk or lights out by 10:45 pm, the next appointment and a 90-day resting heart rate chart.

  AI Guide on GPT-4o

  Members ask about sleep, training, nutrition or their results and get guidance based on their plan, wearables and results. The guide can adjust the plan, set reminders and flag a pattern for the member's physician, and the care team can see what the member shares.

  Care team booking

  Members pick a practitioner from their care team, such as a longevity physician, strength coach, dietitian or sleep specialist, and choose a time shown in UK time. Booking runs on Cal.com, and sessions included in a membership show no charge.

  Memberships on Stripe

  Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers are billed monthly through Stripe, and members can change or pause their plan at any time. Higher tiers add blood panels, physician reviews, coaching and priority clinic access.

  Clinic Console

  Staff get their own console for members, schedules, programs, content, payments, the team and an audit log. The member list shows each person's tier, program, next session and payment status.

  Reminders in the background

  PostgreSQL holds member records, while Redis and BullMQ run reminders and messages in the background. Members get prompts such as a caffeine reminder on shift days without staff sending them by hand.

  UK hosting

  Files go to AWS S3 and the API runs on AWS ECS Fargate in the London region, so member data is stored in the UK. Sentry collects error reports.

  Premium design, phones first

  The design uses deep navy, warm cream and brushed gold, with a classic serif for display type and Inter for interface text. Every screen is laid out for phones first.

What changed for Lokarion Wellness

Lokarion Wellness is being built as one longevity platform across web, mobile and API, with a defined stack, UK hosting for health data and a documented process for scope.

• Each of the seventeen modules has a clear definition, so progress can be checked against the plan at every step.
• Payments follow named milestones across the 34-week plan.
• Every change request is checked against the proposal and recorded in a change register before work begins.
• Member data is planned to stay in the UK, on AWS in the London region.
• Members, the care team and clinic staff share one API and one design across web and phone.
